27 de abr. de 2024 · Thomas Stanley succeeded his father in 1459 as Baron Stanley. He served as steward to Edward IV and then to Richard III, who gave him the Garter. But his second wife, whom he married about 1482, was the widow of the earl of Richmond and mother of the future Henry VII.
25 de abr. de 2024 · Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co. Lancs [E., 1627] circa April 1640. The title of earl of Derby, with Knowsley, Halewood, Bury, and other manors, went to the heir male of the second earl, who had died so far back as 1521, through the Sir James Stanley of Cross Hall of whom mention has been made above.
