THOMAS PRIDE (d. 1658), parliamentarian general in the English Civil War, is stated to have been brought up by the parish of St Bride's, London. Subsequently he was a drayman and a brewer. At the beginning of the Civil War he served as a captain under the earl of Essex, and was gradually promoted to the rank of colonel.
Peter is always up for new adventures and has jumped out of an airplane, piloted a helicopter, raced cars, swam with sharks, ran a marathon, and zip lined, to name a few. He has clocked thousands of miles on numerous Harleys and has recently graduated to a Can-Am Spyder. He’s an avid hiker, scuba diver, and exercises daily.
Thomas Pride VC (29 March 1835 – 16 July 1893) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to a serviceman in the British and Commonwealth forces.
