Thomas Montagu, 4th Earl of Salisbury, KG (13 June 1388 – 3 November 1428) of Bisham in Berkshire, was an English nobleman and one of the most important English commanders during the Hundred Years' War.

THOMAS DE MONTACUTE, 4TH EARL OF SALISBURY, was son of John, the third earl, who was executed in 1400 as a supporter of Richard II. Thomas was granted part of his father's estates and summoned to parliament in 1409, though not fully restored till 1421.
Salisbury, Thomas Montagu, 4th earl of (1388–1428). Like John Holand ( Exeter ), Salisbury was restored by Henry V to estates forfeited by his father. He amply earned this favour by outstanding service in the French war from 1415 onward. He held Normandy after Clarence's defeat and death in 1421.
Montague, or Montacute. Montagu Family, family name of the later medieval English earls of Salisbury, who were descended from Drogo of Montaigu, given in Domesday Book (1086) as one of the chief landholders in Somerset.
