A biography of Thomas Howard, 3rd Duke of Norfolk, a prominent English politician and nobleman of the Tudor era. He was an uncle of Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, both of whom were beheaded by Henry VIII, and a major player in the machinations affecting their royal marriages. He was stripped of his dukedom and imprisoned in the Tower of London, but released by Mary I.

Thomas Howard, 3rd duke of Norfolk, (born 1473—died August 25, 1554, Kenninghall, Norfolk, England), powerful English noble who held a variety of high offices under King Henry VIII. Although he was valuable to the king as a military commander, he failed in his aspiration to become the chief minister of the realm.
