The band released their first studio album, This Is the End of Control, on May 15, 2012, which charted on Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums at number 24 and Top Heatseekers at number 11. They appeared on the Warped Tour in July–August 2012. In August 2012, they toured with the Welsh rock band Lostprophets.

This Is the End of Control is the only studio album by American rock band Cherri Bomb. It was released on May 15, 2012 by Hollywood Records. Prior to the album's release, its song "Shake the Ground" was featured on The Avengers soundtrack. The album also features the song "Let It Go" from the band's 2011 debut EP Stark.
