r/TheWeeknd: Dedicated to sharing and discussing anything and everything related to The Weeknd | Abel Tesfaye
12 de mai. de 2020 · I’d only shift MDM behind Trilogy and Kissland, but I agree with your ranking other than that. BBTM is when I was introduced to The Weeknd so it has a special place in my heart. I still love all of his albums (or chapters), though, and I think that the vast majority of his songs are great.
The Weeknd’s past two albums (Beauty Behind The Madness and Starboy) ended on hopeful notes, they left the listener with a sense of hope but all hope his lost with After Hours. Fans compare After Hours to House of Balloons—a rare occurrence considering House of Balloons’ acclaim—arguing that both albums are on the same level.
ADMIN MOD • Weeknd: Songs Sound Similar Songs Alone Again and Here we go again have a similar sound on the "Ooo-Ooo-Ooo-OOO-Oooh" parts. Part of the chorus of Til' I bleed out has a similar part in One of the girls.
His music and art in general has themes of satan and religion in general. It’s a bunch of metaphorical shit hidden deep in sub text and shit. Like after hours storyline videos being a representation of hell. If you wanna call that satanic then sure. The Weeknd is satanic. It’s an art piece, it’s not real.

5 de out. de 2015 · The Weeknd: He's The Weeknd he parties every weekend he is in love with a girl named Valerie and another girl named Drugs, Alcohol and Sex. Valerie: Valerie is a innocent perfect girl at the starting of the story she turns to drugs that The Weeknd introduced her to and honestly regrets ever meeting The Weeknd by the end of the whole tale.
29 de set. de 2021 · The Hills: Iconic and one of his most mainstream. A mixture of the old and new weeknd. His first diamond. Rambo (remix): I think that The Weeknd does a great job demonstrating that he can rap here. The sound is pretty much grimy and I think he does it really well. Twenty Eight: This song is just a really great demonstration of his vocal talent.

He just doesn't give off "number 1 artist in the world by a long shot" vibes. Like you've got Drake, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Adele etc who everyone holds to a super superstar regard and then you've got The Weeknd who is an incredible artist by all means but isn't a household name like the aforementioned.
