A 1950 biographical film directed by Alfred E. Green and starring Jackie Robinson as himself. The film depicts his struggle with the abuse of bigots as he becomes the first African-American Major League Baseball player of the modern era. It is based on his own autobiography, My Own Story, and was released in 1950 and 2008 in colorized versions.
