  2. Website. www .highschooldublin .com. The High School is a 12–18 mixed, Church of Ireland, independent secondary school in Rathgar, Dublin, Ireland. It was established in 1870 at Harcourt Street before moving to Rathgar in 1971. It amalgamated with The Diocesan School for Girls in 1974, becoming co-educational.

  3. A Short History of The High School Dublin 1870 - 2020. The High School was founded on 1st October 1870 at 40 Harcourt Street, Dublin by the Governors of the Schools Founded by Erasmus Smith, Esquire as a school to prepare boys for business and the professions.

  4. Fees and online payments. The Board of Management at The High School Dublin has set tuition fees for the academic year 2023/24 at €6,850. Fees are due for payment before the first day of the Autumn term. However, fees may also be paid by direct debit in nine monthly instalments commencing 1 st September.

  5. English is a compulsory subject for every pupil at The High School. Pupils from 1st Year to 6th Year have five lessons each week (except in Forms 2 and 4 where there are four and in Form 5 where there are six). Throughout the school, Literature and Language learning and teaching are closely integrated.
