Go was a Japanese rock supergroup formed in 1976 by Stomu Yamashta (percussion and keyboards), which included Steve Winwood (vocals and keyboards), Al Di Meola (lead guitar), Klaus Schulze (synthesizers) and Michael Shrieve (drums). [1] Go is the Japanese word for "five".

Go is the first album by the rock music supergroup Go. Recorded at Island Studios in London in February 1976, [3] it was released on Island Records in April of the same year. Track listing. 22 de jan. de 2018 · Finally in the mid-1970s the two finally met and the foundation for Go was set: “It was a big touring year for Santana, we had over 250 dates to do. On the last day of the tour, I found out that Stomu Yamashta was staying at the same hotel as me, in Rome. We set up a meeting. I wanted to do a record with him.

Yamash'ta was born in Kyoto, Japan on 15 March 1947. He entered to study at the Kyoto Academy of Music in 1960. His father was the director of the Kyoto Philharmonic, and he became a percussionist in the orchestra when he was 13.
