About SSC's History. St. Stanislaus College, known to all Guyanese as "Saints", was founded on May 1st,1866 as the all-boy Catholic Grammar School that was operated by the Jesuits. Saints has grown to become one of the many co-educational High schools located in Georgetown, Guyana.
St. Stanislaus College is a Grade-A senior secondary school in Georgetown, Guyana. It has a student population of 600 and a teaching staff of about 40. Admission to the school is normally through the Secondary Schools' Entrance Examination. It is the third highest school in the country, following Queen's College and Bishops' High School.

History of St Stanislaus College, Georgetown, Guyana. St. Stanislaus College began as a Roman Catholic school run by the Jesuits. In fact, it was a Catholic school for one hundred and ten years, until it was taken over by the Government.
