20 de mar. de 2013 · Spring Breakers is satire of the same variety as Starship Troopers: it takes every trope, every bizarre, ridiculous expectation, warranted by its genre, by its plot, by everything that you expect going in to it, and takes it just one step further. People who want to see it as part of the genre will see it as such, and ignore the satire.
Unless Brat leaks now which I doubt. Spring breakers will probably be on the album or standalone single. She hates having her unreleased stuff out and if she doesn’t release it it’s pretty inevitable someone will just leak it
So with ‘Spring Breakers’ we have a pure piece of modern exploitation dressed with acceptability – a highly regarded (if controversial) director in Harmony Korine, a cast of former clean-cut teen stars (Hudgens and Gomez were both Disney girls), an A-list leading man and an art-house aesthetic and structure.

26 de mar. de 2013 · ADMIN MOD • Themes of Disassociation in Spring Breakers One Thing I was struck with was the idea of disconnection and dissociation throughout the film. Everyone seems to be separate from their environment, like they are just watching themselves act without actually being there.
28 de mar. de 2013 · Spring Breakers contains symbolic interpretations of the exploitation of sex, violence and power within pop-culture, its relationship to the mentality of get rich and famous or die trying, and the warped image of the American dream to today’s misguided youths.
For my money, Spring Breakers is one of the best films to come out in the past 5 years. I've seen more movies than just about anyone I know and Spring Breakers is one of the few genuinely exciting movies to come out of America in a long time. I applaud Korine for not giving in to people's narrow expectations of what a movie needs to be.
Spring Breakers shoved it in our faces that this is the kind of shit being thrown at us and we thrive in it. It even highlights the privilege of white upper class/middle class who peek into or appropriate another culture during Spring Break (ex. Coachella) and leave whenever and end up hammered but still live their privileges.
My friend and I are college students and planning on heading to NOLA for spring break but neither of us have fakes, any advice for clubs or things 18+ that are fun? Also cheap foods places that are good is also appreciated 🫶🏻
I think Spring Breakers is probably the best film of the 21st century so far. Your post is pretty far reaching but if you wanted to bring up some more specific points I'd love to talk about them with you. In a very general sense I'll say this: Spring Breakers is about tons of things.
