This film documents the tenth anniversary of the Spoleto Festival, or the Festival dei Due Mondi, which was founded by Gian Carlo Menotti in 1957. Menotti’s idea involved bringing American artists to Italy for performances and exhibitions, so it seemed appropriate for the American filmmaker Michael Blackwood to document the anniversary.
