Southwest High School. Southwest High School was a comprehensive high school located at 6512 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Missouri. It was part of the Kansas City, Missouri School District. The school is in the Brookside neighborhood, two blocks south of Border Star Montessori.

It last closed in 2016 when Kansas City school officials approved a master plan to readjust district boundaries, the latest in a string of attempted reopenings that has marked the school’s spotted history.
