Shehan Karunatilaka Shehan Karunatilaka wurde 1975 in Galle im Süden Sri Lankas geboren. Aufgewachsen in Colombo, wo er heute wieder lebt, studierte er in Neuseeland und lebte und arbeitete in London, Amsterdam und Singapur. 2010 erschien sein Debütroman "Chinaman", für den er u.a. mit dem Commonwealth Prize ausgezeichnet wurde.
