Samuel Ogle (c. 1694 – 3 May 1752) was the 16th, 18th and 20th Proprietary Governor of Maryland from 1731 to 1732, 1733 to 1742, and 1746/1747 to 1752.

Samuel Ogle (1658–1718) was the son of Rev. Luke Ogle. He was recorder for Berwick and member of Parliament. He was also Commissioner for the Colony of Maryland. Samuel Ogle, was the grandson of Rev. Luke Ogle of Berwick.
Samuel Ogle was a British-born colonial leader who served as the 16th, 18th and 20th proprietary governor of Maryland from 1731 to 1752. He was known for his ability, understanding and popularity in the province, where he faced challenges such as the tobacco dispute, the boundary dispute with Pennsylvania and the war with France. He also founded the Maryland Jockey Club and built a fine estate in Prince George's County.
