Ryne Sandberg is an American former professional baseball player, coach, and manager. He played sixteen seasons in MLB as a second baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago Cubs, and was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005. He is known for his ten All-Star appearances, nine Gold Glove Awards, and .989 fielding percentage at second base.
