Lady Rose Bowes-Lyon was the third daughter of 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne by his wife, Nina Cecilia, and an elder sister of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. On 24 May 1916, she married The Hon. William Leveson-Gower, later the 4th Earl Granville.
A rose garden with a difference. This innovative project, started in late 2007, replaces the old rose borders and catenary at the southern side of Weather Hill. It aims to inspire visitors with its plant combinations, demonstrate best environmental practice, and encourage biodiversity.
