Roger Meddows Taylor OBE (born 26 July 1949) is an English musician, songwriter and record producer. He achieved international fame as the drummer and backing vocalist for the rock band Queen.
2 de abr. de 2014 · Roger Taylor is a singer, guitarist and drummer known for playing with legendary band Queen and for his work as a solo artist. He was born in 1949 in King's Lynn, England, and joined the band in 1967 along with Freddie Mercury, Brian May and John Deacon. He also released several albums as a solo artist and formed The Cross in 1987. He has worked with other groups and musicals, such as Duran Duran and We Will Rock You.
Queen’s first album, called simply Queen and issued on EMI in the UK on 13 July 1973, was the only one to hold Roger Taylor’s name in its entirety – Roger Meddows Taylor. Then he opted out of that family name and became Roger Taylor.
