Richard von Weizsäcker GColIH (Stuttgart, 15 de abril de 1920 – Berlim, 31 de janeiro de 2015) [1] foi um político alemão. Filiado à União Democrata-Cristã (CDU), foi presidente da Alemanha de 1984 a 1994. [2] Seu pai foi o diplomata Ernst von Weizsäcker e era irmão do físico e filósofo Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker.

Richard Freiherr von Weizsäcker, born in 1920 in Stuttgart, studied in Oxford and Grenoble and from 1938 to 1945 performed military service. After World War II he studied law and history and went on to gain a doctoral degree in law.
