A biography of an Anglo-Irish politician and colonial administrator who served as Governor-General of Bengal, Foreign Secretary and Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. He was the eldest son of The 1st Duke of Wellington and the grandson of The 1st Earl of Mornington. He fought against Tipu Sultan in 1799 and initiated the Second Anglo-Maratha War.
