Richard Colley Wellesley, I marchese Wellesley (Dangan Castle, 20 giugno 1760 – Knightsbridge, 26 settembre 1842), è stato un nobile, militare e politico britannico. Description Richard Coley Wellesley, the 1st Marquess Wellesley, was an Anglo-Irish politician and colonial administrator. He was appointed the fifth Governor-General of India from 1798 to 1805. He also served as Foreign Secretary during the Napoleonic Wars and Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.

He was the eldest of the six sons of Garrett Wellesley, first viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle and earl of Mornington in the county of Meath. His mother was Anne, eldest daughter of Arthur Hill-Trevor, first viscount Dungannon.
