Bremner's first taste of major silverware came in the form of the League Cup and the Inter-City Fairs Cup during the 1967-68 season. This marked the beginning of a trophy-laden era for Leeds United, with further triumphs including the league title secured in 1968-69 and additional European success with the Inter-City Fairs Cup once again in 1970-71.
