Roth released his debut studio album Asleep in the Bread Aisle, on April 20, 2009, under Universal Motown, SRC and Schoolboy Records; the latter of which was launched by Roth's former manager Scooter Braun.

  5. I will always welcome new Asher with open arms. Sucks his career got tainted by that first album so much because he is genuinely talented. Pabst & Jazz, RetroHash, GH Effect, Rawth, Flowers On The Weekend, and Why's It Grey Out are all genuinely good projects.

The first of those albums had peaked within the ‘Top 5’ of the US, US R&B, and US Rap charts and had been certified ‘Gold’ by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
