Founded in 1564 by Royal Charter, our school has been helping young people to secure outstanding academic results and providing a well-rounded experience for over 450 years.

  5. Year 12 is a stepping-stone between formal school and further study, probably at university, where you will be an independent learner. In the Sixth Form, you have to undertake background reading and study in support of your subjects. We advise that you spend a minimum of two hours a day on private study.
