Patrick Henry Pearse (also known as Pádraig or Pádraic Pearse; Irish: Pádraig Anraí Mac Piarais; 10 November 1879 – 3 May 1916) was an Irish teacher, barrister, poet, writer, nationalist, republican political activist and revolutionary who was one of the leaders of the Easter Rising in 1916.

Patrick Henry Pearse was a teacher, writer, poet, and revolutionary who led the Easter Rising in 1916. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, and became a fluent Irish speaker and a leader of the Gaelic League. He founded St. Enda's School for boys and St. Ita's for girls, and joined the Irish Volunteers and the IRB. He was executed by the British after the Rising.
