At this point his origins have been recently and repeatedly retconned. If you want to know Wolverine’s official origin, it’s worth reading Origin (2001). But it barely matters or adds anything that wasn’t there when he couldn’t remember his origin. Magneto Testament is good but not a superhero comic at all.
