2 de nov. de 2023 · Cruz, a seven-time All-Star and 19-year Major League Baseball veteran, says he is retiring after 19 seasons. Cruz, who is 43, said on Adam Jones’ podcast Friday, Nov. 2, 2023, that he plans to play this winter in the Dominican Professional Baseball League.

3 de nov. de 2023 · The Dominican Republic native announced his retirement from professional baseball on the Adam Jones podcast and in an interview with Alanna Rizzo on MLB Network’s High Heat. He played for eight teams in 19 seasons, hitting 464 home runs and winning the 2021 Roberto Clemente Award. He also became the oldest player ever to hit 30 home runs in 2021.
