Hazarika had also directed, composed music and produced the first colour Hindi feature film of Arunachal Pradesh, Mera Dharam Meri Maa (1976). This movie featured the song “ Arunachal Humara ” that has become the de-facto state song of Arunachal Pradesh and has also been translated to many tribal languages.
