Magdalen College, ou plus simplement Magdalen, est l'un des plus prestigieux collèges de l'université d'Oxford. Fondé en 1448 sous le nom de Magdalen Hall par William Waynflete , évêque de Winchester , l'établissement reçut son nom définitif en 1458 .
Magdalen is currently home to around 400 undergraduate students, 200 graduate students, lots of friendly Fellows and staff, and a herd of deer. That might sound a lot, but the brilliant thing about having such a large College is that there is plenty of space for everyone.

Our Campus. The Magdalen College campus occupies 135 acres of pine and hardwood forest, open fields, gravel footpaths, and stone walls that are remnants of late nineteenth century farms. The buildings and layout of the campus are designed as a traditional New England village.
The social life of students at Magdalen revolves around the Junior and Middle Common Rooms (JCR and MCR, respectively). 26 de abr. de 2024 · This is a very special May Morning for Magdalen College as it coincides with the 550th anniversary of Magdalen College Chapel. William Waynflete founded Magdalen on 12 June 1458, but it wasn’t until 5 May 1474 that the foundation stone of the Chapel was laid by then President of Magdalen, William Tybard, and blessed by Bishop Robert Tully of St David’s.
