Douglas Edward Macdonald Hastings (6 October 1909 – 4 October 1982), known as Macdonald Hastings or Mac Hastings, was an English journalist, author and war correspondent. He wrote for Lilliput magazine under the pseudonym Lemuel Gulliver.

He wrote several books on his travels and experiences, including The Arabian Adventurer and The Sahara Adventurer. He was the first Westerner to explore the interior of the Arabian Peninsula and the first to climb the highest peak in the Middle East, Mount Ararat.
