Sebestyén é membro fundador do grupo folclórico húngaro Muzsikás. É conhecida pelas adaptações de canções folclóricas Somogy e Erdély, algumas das quais aparecem no álbum Boheme de Deep Forest, que recebeu o Grammy Award para melhor álbum de world music em 1996.

The enthusiasm of the former middle school girl, Márta Sebestyén (who, by the way, must have seemed to be off her rocker!) got turned into a life-long passion, a real profession.
Sebestyén is a founding member of Hungarian folk group Muzsikás. She is known for adaptations of Somogy and Erdély folk songs, some of which appear in Deep Forest 's Boheme album, which received the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album in 1995.
