Máire Mhac an tSaoi (4 April 1922 – 16 October 2021) [1] [2] [3] was an Irish civil service diplomat, writer of Modernist poetry in the Corca Dhuibhne dialect of Munster Irish, a memoirist, and a highly important figure within modern literature in Irish.

Máire Mhac an tSaoi, one of the most acclaimed Irish language poets and writers, was born in Dublin in 1922. Her main collections are: Margadh na Saoire (1956); Codladh an Ghaiscigh (1973); An Galar Dubhach (1980), and An Cion go dtí Seo (1987).
