Dorothy Stratten was born in Grace Maternity Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on February 28, 1960, to Simon and Nelly Hoogstraten, who had emigrated from the Netherlands. In 1961, her brother John Arthur was born; her sister Louise followed in May 1968. In 1977, Stratten was attending Centennial High School in Coquitlam.
18 de out. de 2021 · Bogdanovich remained close to Stratten’s family—and still does to this day. He and his ex Louise Stratten made the 2014 comedy She’s Funny That Way with Jennifer Anniston. Strangely enough, Bogdanovich still lives with both Louise Stratten and Nelly Hoogstraten, the mother of both Dorothy and Louise.

7 de jan. de 2022 · Dorothy had a much younger sister, Louise Stratten, who had been staying in Hollywood at the time, visiting Dorothy and Bogdanovich. Bogdanovich couldn’t face telling Louise, then just 12 years old, that her sister had been murdered. Louise was sent back home to Canada and Bogdanovich was left alone with his grief.
