Linda Lingle (née Cutter; June 4, 1953) is an American politician who served as the sixth governor of Hawaii from 2002 to 2010. She was the first Republican elected governor of Hawaii since 1959, and was the state's first female and first Jewish governor.

Linda Lingle (b. Linda Cutter on June 4, 1953) was Governor of Hawaii from 2002 until 2010. Lingle ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing Hawaii. Lingle won the nomination in the Republican primary on August 11, 2012 but lost the general election on November 6, 2012 to Mazie Hirono (D).
