She was chosen to be one of Her Majesty's six maids of honour on her Coronation Day in 1952, alongside Lady Anne Coke, Lady Jane Vane-Tempest-Stewart, Lady Mary Baillie-Hamilton, Lady Jane Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby and Lady Rosemary Spencer-Churchill.
