Lady Mary Luise Wellesley (born 16 December 1986) is a British writer and historian specialising in Medieval studies. She has authored two books, Hidden Hands: The Lives of Manuscripts and Their Makers and The Gilded Page: The Secret Lives of Medieval Manuscripts .

She is the co-host of a hit podcast series for the London Review of Books called ‘Encounters with Medieval Women’, which was rebroadcast twice on the Canadian Broadcasting Company’s ‘Ideas’ programme. Its opening episode had 30,000 downloads within two months of broadcast.
Personal life. On 3 February 1977, she married Charles Wellesley, Marquess of Douro at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge in London.
