Lady Barbara FitzRoy (16 July 1672 – 6 May 1737), was the sixth and youngest child of Barbara Palmer, 1st Duchess of Cleveland, a mistress of Charles II of England. Charles never publicly acknowledged her as his child, as he was probably not the father. She became a Benedictine nun, known as Benedite.

Lady Anne FitzRoy, (12 November 1702 - 13 February 1769), married John Paddey, Esq. Lady Barbara FitzRoy, died unmarried. On the death of his mother in 1709, the Duke became also second Duke of Cleveland, by a special remainder in the grant of the dukedom which set aside his illegitimacy.
Lady Barbara FitzRoy. The Duchess of Cleveland gave birth to her final child, Barbara, on 16th July 1672…but the child was not Charles II’s offspring. Though Cleveland initially claimed that Barbara was Charles II’s daughter, and gave her the surname FitzRoy, the king refused to officially acknowledge her as his own.
