Judenburg (German: [juːdn̩.buɐ̯k, juːdn̩.buʁk]; Bavarian: Judnbuag) is a historic town in Styria, Austria. It is the administrative centre of the Murtal district , which was created on 1 January 2012 from the former Judenburg District and former Knittelfeld District .

The Strettweg cult chariot, which was found during fieldwork in 1851, dates from this period. Today, the grave goods are considered the most important find from this period.
A Guerra Austro-Prussiana – também conhecida como Guerra das Sete Semanas – ocorreu em 1866 e opôs o fortalecido reino prussiano contra o império austríaco pela disputa dos territórios dos ducados de Schleswig e Hosltein, que ambos os países haviam conquistado da Dinamarca, em 1864, durante a Guerra dos Ducados.

In the late Middle Ages, Judenburg controlled most of the Mur Valley trade, which consisted primarily of iron and lavender.
