Jocasta "Joyce" Culpeper, of Oxon Hoath (c. 1480 – c. 1528) was the mother of Catherine Howard, the fifth wife and Queen consort of King Henry VIII. Oxon Hoath, enlarged from the original manor house built by the Culpeper family.

17 de jan. de 2023 · Joyce Culpeper was the first daughter of Richard Culpeper of Oxon Hoath, in the parish of West Peckham, Kent and his second wife Isabel Worsley. According to the Inquisition Post Mortem held for her brother Thomas in 1492, she was aged 12 and above. This puts her birthdate at no later than 1480. Marriages and Children
Howard married firstly Joyce Culpeper (c.1480 – c.1528), widow of Ralph Leigh (d. 6 November 1509) of Stockwell (in Lambeth), Surrey, and daughter of Richard Culpeper, esquire, of Oxenhoath, West Peckham, Kent.
When Joyce Culpeper was born about 1445, in England, her father, Sir John Culpeper, was 22 and her mother, Lady Agnes Gaynsford, was 21. She married Gervase Horne about 1466, in England, United Kingdom. She died in 1523, at the age of 79.
Thomas Culpeper (c. 1514 – 10 December 1541) was an English courtier and close friend of Henry VIII, and was related to two of his queens, Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard. He is known to have had many private meetings with Catherine during her marriage, though these may have involved political intrigue rather than sex.
