John Ernst Steinbeck, Jr. (/ˈstaɪnˌbək/; Salinas, 27 de fevereiro de 1902 – Nova Iorque, 20 de dezembro de 1968) foi um escritor estadunidense. As suas obras principais são A Leste do Paraíso (PT) ou A Leste do Éden (BR) (East of Eden, 1952 ) e As Vinhas da Ira (The Grapes of Wrath, 1939 ).
