John André (Londres, 2 de maio de 1750/1751 [1] — Tappan, Nova Iorque, 2 de outubro de 1780) foi um major do Exército Britânico e chefe de seu Serviço Secreto na América durante a Guerra Revolucionária Americana.
John André (May 2, 1750 – October 2, 1780) was a major in the British Army and head of its intelligence operations in America during the American Revolutionary War. In that role he was assigned the task of negotiating Benedict Arnold 's secret offer to surrender the fort at West Point, New York , to the British in September 1780.

John André was born in London, England, on May 2, 1750. By 1771, André had joined the British Army and was sent to serve in Canada in 1774. In November 1778, André was promoted to major and named adjutant general by General Henry Clinton, the British commander-in-chief.
