Joan Alice Katherine Grigg, Baroness Altrincham (née Dickson-Poynder; 11 September 1897 – 1987) was a British organiser of maternity and nursing services in Kenya. She disagreed with the Governor of Kenya (her husband) about race issues and she established medical facilities for all races.

John Edward Poynder Grigg FRSL (15 April 1924 – 31 December 2001) was a British writer, historian and politician. He was the 2nd Baron Altrincham from 1955 until he disclaimed that title under the Peerage Act on the day it received Royal Assent in 1963.

1 de set. de 2021 · Oxford DNB: In 1926 Joan Grigg created the Lady Grigg Welfare League as a way of providing nursing and maternity services for women and children of all races. It was supported by energetic fund-raising efforts in Kenya and in Britain. The first branch of the league, which opened in 1926, was a child welfare home for Arabs and Africans in Mombasa.

Johanna Leigh Griggs AM (born 17 October 1973) is an Australian television presenter and former competitive swimmer. She won a bronze medal at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. Griggs has been at the Seven Network since 1993 where she joined Seven Sport, first as a host at the Australian Open.
