14 de dez. de 2023 · SHREVEPORT, La. -- The U.S. Senate voted Thursday afternoon to confirm Jerry Edwards Jr. as a U.S. District judge, making him the first-ever Black federal judge in the Western District.
Jerry Edwards Jr. is a judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. He was nominated to the court by President Joe Biden (D) on June 8, 2023, and confirmed by the United States Senate on December 14, 2023, by a vote of 66-24.
