Jean Maximilien Lamarque (22 July 1770 – 1 June 1832) was a French general of the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars who later became a member of the French Parliament. Lamarque served with distinction in many of Napoleon's campaigns.

On 5 June 1832 thousands of Frenchmen flocked the streets of Paris for the funeral of General Jean-Maximilien Lamarque, a liberal with revolutionary and Bonapartist credentials who had fallen victim to the cholera epidemic that took thousands of lives that year.
