Sir James Boleyn (died 1561) was a courtier in the reign of Henry VIII of England and chancellor of the household of his niece, Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII. He was thus the grand-uncle of Elizabeth I. James was the son of Sir William Boleyn and his wife, Margaret Butler.

When James Boleyn was born in 1493, in Blickling, Norfolk, England, his father, Sir William Boleyn, was 42 and his mother, Lady Margaret Butler, was 39. He married Elizabeth Wood in 1518. They were the parents of at least 1 daughter. He died on 5 December 1561, in his hometown, at the age of 68.
