Hugo Stiglitz was a German sergeant, well known for killing at least 13 Gestapo officers. Stiglitz, Aldo Raine and Archie Hicox were the only non-Jewish members of The Basterds. Stiglitz was born or grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. During WWII, he joined the Wehrmacht.
