In legal terms ( de jure ), Henry had only three wives, because three of his marriages were annulled by the Church of England.

Henry VI and Edward IV fought, won and lost the throne over the next decade, but Henry was finally deposed and died, probably murdered, in the Tower of London in May 1471.
