Henry Stephen Fox (22 September 1791 – 13 October 1846) was a British diplomat. Life. Born in Chatham, the only son of General Henry Edward Fox (1755–1811), Henry was educated at Eton College. He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford in 1809. [1]
Henry Stephen Fox was appointed the first minister plenipotentiary of Great Britain to Brazil, being based at Buenos Aires and latterly at Rio de Janeiro. He was subsequently appointed British Envoy to the United States (1835-1843).
Henry Fox, 1st Baron Holland (born September 28, 1705—died July 1, 1774, Kensington, near London) was an English politician, notable chiefly for the success with which he exploited public office for private gain. The second son of Sir Stephen Fox, he inherited a large share of the riches that his father had accumulated but squandered it.
