Henry FitzJames (6 August 1673 – 16 December 1702), titular 1st Duke of Albemarle in the Jacobite peerage, was the illegitimate son of King James II of England and VII of Scotland by Arabella Churchill, sister of the first Duke of Marlborough . Life. FitzJames was born in St. James's Square, Westminster, then in the county of Middlesex, England.

FitzJames was born at Moulins in France before his father's accession to the throne, and was brought up in France as a Catholic. He was the son of James and his mistress Arabella Churchill, [1] sister of the English captain general and statesman John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough.
2 de jul. de 2019 · A second Fitzjames boy, Henry, died in 1702 in France whilst the youngest FitzJames sibling, called Arabella born in 1674 opted to become a nun in Pontoise. She took the name Ignatia. Arabella Churchill married Charles Godfrey circa 1674. She went on to have forty years of happy married life and three more children.
