Henry Bathurst, 2nd Earl Bathurst PC KC (20 May 1714 – 6 August 1794), known as The Lord Apsley from 1771 to 1775, was a British lawyer and politician. He was Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain from 1771 to 1778.
Henry Bathurst, 2nd Earl Bathurst (born May 20, 1714, Westminster, London, Eng.—died August 6, 1794, Oakley Grove, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, Eng.) was a statesman, the eldest surviving son of the 1st Earl Bathurst, whose title he inherited in 1775.

Bathurst, Henry, 2nd Earl Bathurst (1714–94). Bathurst's career spanned politics and the law. He was an MP from 1735 to 1751 and became a king's counsel in 1746 and a judge of the common pleas in 1754.

Bathurst constructed Apsley House in London, which later became the seat of the Dukes of Wellington. His eldest son Henry, the third Earl, was a noted politician. He served as President of the Board of Trade, as Foreign Secretary, as Secretary of State for War and the Colonies and as Lord President of the Council.

Politician and British Colonial Officer, Bathurst was born in Gloucestershire, England on 22 May 1762. He was the eldest son of the second Earl of Bathurst. In April 1789 he married the daughter of Lord George Henry Lennox, Georgiana Lennox, with whom he had 6 children.
